Offering organically grown seedlings to the community as well as providing advice, support & tool sharing.
Daily from Thursday, May 21st until Monday, May 25th.
From 10am until 7pm unless raining.
If there are no plants outside or if you have a question, just knock or ring the bell for Tara.
Current offerings Include:
- Tomato seedlings – various kinds, including some Minibelles. Minibelles are an indoor varity requiring a sunny window. They live for two years & produce cherry tomatoes even in the winter months. These are by request only as Tara has a limited supply & is trying to get them into the homes of the most vulnerable.
- Peppers – only the HOT variety remains. These too grow best when planted in pots and brought inside for the winter. Peppers are in fact perennials that can grow & produce for years to come. You simply need to repot every 2-3 years. Each year they get hotter.
- Brassicas – including cabbage, kale & limited supply of sprouting broccoli.
- Various seeds that can still be direct sown into pots, raised beds & some the ground.
There are also a limited supply of plastic pots and salvaged wood for those who need & have the skill to make raised beds. Some wood chips are also available to help fill raised beds & larger pots.
